“tonari” is a cafe and guesthouse located on Omishima Island along the shimanami kaido.
Omishima, where tonari is located, is an island between Ehime Prefecture on Shikoku and Hiroshima Prefecture on Honshu. It’s located in the Seto Inland Sea with its mild climate, which has been selected as one of the world's seven major cycling route as the Shimanami Kaido, which attracts cyclists from all over the world, allowing them to enjoy beautiful scenery woven by many islands dotting the Seto Inland Sea from the cycling road The people of the island are warm and welcoming, and you are sure to be healed both physically and mentally along with the spectacular scenery.

Tourist info
Oyamazumi Shrine
The head office of all Oyamazumi Shrines in Japan. The large camphor tree in the precincts and the nearby “Ikigi no Gomon” are famous as power spots.
Washigatou
A spot where you can enjoy a 360-degree view of Shimanami from the summit. It is possible to go to the summit by car. You can also traverse the mountain in half a day from the neighboring Mt. Anjin.
Ohkunoshima
Rabbit Island. It is also an island with a long history that once housed a poison gas factory for the army in the early Showa period, and you can tour the ruins. 15 minutes by ferry from Omishima (Sakari Port)
Akinada Tobishima Highway
A new cycling and driving course that connects seven islands to Hiroshima and Kure with seven bridges. It takes about 20 minutes by ferry from Omishima (Munakata Port) to Okamurajima, the departure point.
